Parent Portal

A parent portal families actually use — pay, apply, and see what's happening at lunch

Trinity’s parent portal handles the two things every family needs — putting money on a meal account and applying for meal benefits — plus the everyday details: balances, purchase history, weekly menus, spending limits, and automatic top-ups. The whole portal runs in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.

Online deposits that settle to the school

Parents add funds by card in a few taps. Deposits settle directly to each school’s own bank account — the platform never holds student meal money — and the card convenience fee is shown before the parent pays, never buried. On a $25 deposit the total fee is $1.57. Cash or check at the register is always free, and deposits are capped at $1,000 per transaction for safety.

  • Saved-card automatic top-ups: pick a threshold and an amount, and the account refills itself.
  • Low-balance email reminders, driven by each school’s own warning threshold.
  • Per-child spending controls: turn à la carte off or set a daily dollar cap.
  • Statements and a full purchase history per student, downloadable as CSV.

The meal application, without the paper chase

The portal’s free/reduced application mirrors the USDA prototype: household members, income by pay period, SNAP/TANF/FDPIR case numbers, foster/homeless/migrant status, electronic signature, and the required use-of-information and non-discrimination statements — in all three languages. Drafts save automatically, and each school can share its own application link for enrollment packets and flyers.

Built for real households

Families claim their students with name, date of birth, and student ID — no waiting on the office. Kids at two schools show together in one login; parents with children in two districts get a district switcher. Staff can add their own meal account the same way. Determination results, appeal rights, and letters arrive by email in the household’s language.
