Trinity POS is priced as a flat monthly fee per school site — quoted for your district’s size and programs. The fee covers the whole platform: cafeteria POS, free/reduced applications and processing, direct certification imports, verification, claim worksheets, the parent portal, and every report. There are no modules to license one by one and no per-transaction charges to the district.
What the per-site fee includes

- Cafeteria POS on any tablet, phone, or browser — offline-capable, unlimited cashier accounts.
- Online + paper free/reduced applications, processing queue, student matching, and trilingual determination letters.
- Direct certification, roster, balance, and eligibility file imports (CSV and OneRoster).
- NSLP / SBP / SFSP / CACFP / CEP claim worksheets with federal edit checks, exports, and submission history.
- Parent portal with online deposits, auto top-ups, spending controls, menus, and statements.
- Compliance reporting: FNS-742 verification collection, civil-rights data, production records, consolidated sales, audit trail.
What parents pay (only if they pay online)
Online card deposits carry a convenience fee that is shown before the parent confirms — $1.57 total on a $25 deposit — sized to cover card processing. Paying by cash or check at the school is always free, so no family is forced into a fee. Deposits settle directly to each school’s own bank account; Trinity never holds student meal money.
For comparison: legacy platforms commonly price parent payments as a percentage of the deposit with a per-transaction minimum, which makes the smallest deposits carry the highest effective fee. When you evaluate vendors, ask each one in writing for the all-in card fee on a $10 and a $25 deposit.
